Something Old and Something New

So as I'm starting this new journey of finding a job that combines both what I spent my college years learning and doing something that I'm passionate about, I stumbled upon some of my old college work. I'm making some gifs as we speak to showcase some of that, but for now, here is something from my "Atavii" project.

Our level was inspired by Morocco, so I took it upon myself to create decals that we could use to create unison with all our assets while also referencing the inspiration. All of these decals were handmade by me in Photoshop. There are 40 in total and some were very simple, while others were more extravagant. I played a ton with geometric shapes and floral patterns.

Now as for the new, I recently picked up my "Motivation Sketchbook" again and drew something. I used pics from my "people2draw" folder, mixed two pictures that I liked of Marlon Teixeira, and here is the end result:

 

I hope to get more work on here soon. I'm currently drawing a new piece, making those gifs, and hopefully getting some concept work in too. 

 

My First CD Album Art!!!

So for the past couple of months, I have been working on my very first album cover. And it's finally time to reveal what all the hard work has paid off with!!!

The artist's name is Socorra and she is an incredibly talented indie/pop artist who writes her own songs. You can check out more about Socorra and her music at socorramusic.com.

The photographs were taken by Renée Vargas in San Francisco CA at various locations. I retouched the photos and added the flare here and there haha. My favorite part of the album is the back. I actually manually made all the song titles by editing the original picture. Here's what it looked like before:

 

 

Reunited and it feels SO GOOD :]

One day, I was just sitting in my room staring at the ceiling while listening to music. Man was I bored. I sat up and looked towards my computer. But instead of opening my laptop, something caught my eye. It was my "motivation sketchbook". My sister had challenged me to buy a new sketchbook and draw so I could re-spark myself. And I'm so glad she made me do it. I quickly got my folder of "people2draw" and began drawing and sketching. Here are some that I've done recently. Thanks sis :]

  

One of my Greatest Accomplishments!!!

It will almost be 2 years since 10 people came together to form "Team Viewscope" and produce one of the most beautiful and amazing worlds for SOE's Everquest 2, "Atavii". Every time I look back at all the time and work I, along with my fellow team members, put into this it always brings a smile to my face.

Well, it's been awhile...here's what I've been up to :]

Yikes! My last post was way back in 2010...but never fear, I haven't completely forgot about this blog lol I actually have been pursuing something more my style. I've been pursuing my modeling career and have taken on becoming somewhat of a photo retoucher/editor. Without anything further, here are some examples of my work before and after!!!
